In ages long past...
In a time long forgotten...
There was a time when dreams had great power. At this time, a beast could step forth from a dream and walk the world. So appeared the white lion: Amra. He saw and heard all the beautiful harmonies of the Earth. He heard the singing of the birds, the droning of the insects, the rustling of the trees. He spoke to them all. Amra spoke to the whales. Amra spoke to the clouds. And when he asked them to sing, they sang for him.
In places where Amra made the world sing, humanfolk began to gather to listen. This was not music as they knew it. This was something more; something they had no word for. So they called it simply "The Sound".
And of this sound, Amra was King.
And his greatest performance it was. Amra asked, and so the insects began to chirp, the whales began to cry, the birds began to sing and flutter, the trees to creak and sway, and the clouds gathered their thunderbolts. As all came together in a great crescendo, such a chord was struck, with deep vibrations aligning just so, that in a violent burst of sound and light...Amra vanished.
Many feared him lost forever, and The Sound along with him. But the Gods decreed, because he would not honor them, that until humanfolk could command The Sound without him, Amra would never return.
On July 23rd, 1983, in a garage in Denver, though the age of dreaming had long since faded, it was through the power of technology that Amra's chord was struck at last, and Amra returned from the void. Though he can no longer command the insects, birds, trees, whales, and clouds, he has learned to master the technological tools that freed him. And now...
...The King of Sound performs again.
